Setup expectations

This page sets clear expectations for your first session. Setup takes real work, and the product shows honest states when data is missing, stale, or syncs fail.

Core setup expectations

Account & workspace

  • You need a verified email before certain dashboard actions work. That is intentional.

  • Billing is per workspace: create or join a workspace, choose its plan, then continue to setup.

  • Invites and roles are enforced: only workspace members can see its data.

Sync & data

  • First syncs can take time; history and errors appear in sync history, not hidden away.

  • CSV imports and API connections have different setup requirements, and validation errors should tell you what needs fixing.

  • If something shows "partial", "stale", or "failed", that is the product telling the truth about freshness and sync status.

Billing & reports

  • Weekly and monthly reports require an active trial or paid plan on that workspace.

  • Pro intelligence surfaces (Ask, Synthesis, Comparables, full Insights depth, and similar) follow your workspace plan. Default Core catalog keeps several of those flags off even when you are paid or trialing.

  • Prioritized recommendations and PRO AI briefs only run when your plan enables those capabilities. Open Plan and billing to see flags and quotas for this workspace.

  • Trial length and pricing follow the billing setup for that workspace. A trial uses the same plan limits as the paid tier you are evaluating.

When you are stuck

Start with in-app diagnostics. If you still need help, contact support and include request or trace IDs from error messages when available.
