Data readiness terms
These words describe data quality and coverage — not billing, plans, or payments. Product copy, badges, and Setup cards reuse the same vocabulary so similar states do not contradict each other.
Glossary
- Ready
- Core sources succeeded for this window — charts and KPIs reflect synced data, not forecasts.
- Fresh
- Data reflects a recent successful load for the sources behind this view — still sanity-check when stakes are high.
- Stale
- Last successful loads are older than we expect for day-to-day decisions — refresh sync before trusting momentum.
- Partial / partial read
- Some expected signals are missing or still updating — use directionally, not as a complete picture.
- Failed sync
- A source sync failed — KPIs may be wrong or empty until you fix the source and retry.
- Unavailable
- Not enough loaded data yet to treat this surface as a trustworthy read.
- Setup incomplete
- A required source is not configured or connected — finish Setup; this is expected until you wire sources.
- Insufficient evidence (Insights benchmarks)
- Not enough benchmark-grade evidence to support automated comparisons — broader product data may still load elsewhere.
Where this shows up
- Overview hero badges and the short health line under your game title.
- The Sources and freshness table (Data for this view).
- Setup source cards — headlines and compact status badges.
- Insights overview shell badge (benchmark-grade signal, separate from billing gates).
- Today KPI sublines when the day slice is incomplete or stale.
Sidebar layout for new workspaces
Until KPI read-model data exists for your selected game, the left nav groups Core path (Overview, Revenue, Wishlists, Reviews, Refunds) ahead of More tools (Insights, Reports, Creative, Steam News). After the first evidence loads, the full flat list returns automatically so nothing stays hidden for entitled users.
